Even the first episode of UTI with fever can cause changes in the kidney's structure in 50-85% of children with delayed antibiotic administration, regardless of the presence of urinary tract congenital abnormalities. Therefore, the role of the primary health care provider, the local pediatrician, is of paramount importance. Awareness of risk factors for UTI development, clinical signs of the disease in children of different age groups, and examination methods is a prerequisite for effective antibacterial therapy, prevention of UTI relapse, and follow-up.</p>
Знание факторов риска развития ИМП, клинических признаков болезни у детей разных возрастных групп, методов обследования является условием эффективной антибактериальной терапии, профилактики рецидивов ИМП и диспансерного наблюдения.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>children</kwd><kwd>urinary tract infection</kwd><kwd>pyelonephritis</kwd><kwd>cystitis</kwd><kwd>asymptomatic bacteriuria</kwd><kwd>antibacterial therapy</kwd><kwd>relapse prevention</kwd><kwd>phytotherapy</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>дети</kwd><kwd>инфекция мочевых путей</kwd><kwd>пиелонефрит</kwd><kwd>цистит</kwd><kwd>асимптоматическая бактериурия</kwd><kwd>антибактериальная терапия</kwd><kwd>профилактика рецидивов</kwd><kwd>фитотерапия</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Hellström A, Hanson E, Hansson S, et al.
