PPHN is currently the most common cause of transient PH. PPHN usually occurs immediately after birth, persists during the first week of life, or later, depending on the degree of prematurity and immaturity of the newborn's lungs. Neonates with PPHN are at high risk for severe respiratory failure and asphyxia and its complications. Ultrasound examination of the heart is the primary method for diagnosing PPHN and is crucial for targeted treatment. Despite the existing ultrasound indicators, none of them is the final prognostic criterion for assessing PH; therefore, it is recommended that a newborn always undergo a comprehensive ultrasound of the heart, considering the specific features of the neonatal period.</p>
Несмотря на существующие УЗ-показатели, ни один из них не является конечным прогностическим критерием для оценки ЛГ, в связи с чем новорожденным рекомендуется всегда проводить комплексное УЗИ сердца с учетом особенностей неонатального периода их жизни.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>newborns</kwd><kwd>persistent pulmonary hypertension of newborns</kwd><kwd>functional state of the right ventricle</kwd><kwd>ultrasound examination of the heart in the neonatal period</kwd><kwd>respiratory failure in newborns</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>новорожденные</kwd><kwd>персистирующая легочная гипертензия новорожденных</kwd><kwd>функциональное состояние правого желудочка</kwd><kwd>ультразвуковое исследование сердца в неонатальном периоде</kwd><kwd>дыхательная недостаточность у новорожденных</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Abman SH.
